The life story of the dreamer and nature mystic Johan Nagel, 29 years old. His great love, the young beauty Dagny, the anxious, but warmhearted woman Martha, the sly fox Minutten. Around them, there are the curious people from the small city, and many colorful characters, for instance ,the blustering Chief Constable. In spite of the highly gifted character of Johan Nagel, he has for years lived like a sort of tramp. And they all show unusual traits in their behaviour. One can ask: why? Do they carry something with them that has happened before the story at the stage starts? This is the real incentive motor for the plot. They now want to start a new and better life in the small city, but must hide something from their past lives. The audience experiences super-natural visions expressed in moving music. A fascinating drama from our modern world.
